Authenticity

Certified. Serial numbered. On record.

Our reputation rests on what we sell, so we are very particular about it — and we put it in writing for every lot.

Where our pieces come from

From the productions themselves.

Most of the pieces we sell are acquired directly from studios, costume houses, property masters, weapons coordinators and other crew members involved in film and television productions. A few are acquired from other trusted sources.

Where a piece can be matched to what appears on screen, we say so. Where it cannot, we describe it accurately as acquired from the production.

Certificate of Authenticity

What every certificate carries

Production
The production name and a description of the item
Security
A tamper-evident, anti-counterfeit hologram sticker
Serial
A unique serial number, kept on our records
Does every item come with a certificate?

Every auction lot is issued a certificate. If multiple items are sold together as one lot, one certificate covers all items as listed in the description. Certificates are not supplied with promotional items or other items not used in the production itself.

What should I do if I buy an Icons piece from someone else?

Keep the original certificate with the piece. If you would like to confirm it, send us the serial number using the form below and we will check it against our records and reply to you.

Can you tell me who owned it or what it sold for?

No. Sale records are confidential. We can confirm whether a certificate matches our records and what it was issued for — never who bought it or what they paid.
